Life Things

Well last week was definitely a long one. We had our final junior high band concert (8th grade is considered the last year for junior high here), performed for 6th graders, performed for veterans who received the Medal of Honor, and I got my hair done today!

So most of the stuff happened on Friday. First thing we did Friday was perform for 6th graders. I did so horribly omg I'm glad no one really heard me.

Later on in the day, we performed for the veterans that came, and it was really cool. They were proud of us for playing "The Star-Spangled Banner" so well, and it was a real honor for them to acknowledge that! I find it always good to remember that it's because of people like them that we are a free country.

Then, after school, we performed a THIRD time that day, and we did an incredible job! The tuba players omg!!! They played SOOOOO well! I'm not just saying that because I'm friends with one of them, but because they really did rock the night. Overall, we did really well. :D

Oh, and I found out on Monday that I MADE THE SYMPHONIC BAND AT THE HIGH SCHOOL!!! Not the 9th grade one, I mean THE symphonic band! The bands are divided from the best players in the wind ensemble (btw, two people I know made it into that, which is highly unlikely for freshmen), followed by the symphonic band, which is followed by the concert band, and then it goes down to the freshman symphonic band and then the freshman concert band. I was SOOO happy!!!! I literally ran around the house screaming XD!!

And finally, I got my hair done today. I got the under layers of my hair died black, including the under layer of my bangs. It turned out SOOO well!!! I was so happy with the hairdresser's job!

So yeah, that's pretty much it for now. I made the all A honor roll, and I have another award (that I don't know what will be for) that I'll get on Thursday at the awards assembly. We also visit the high school on Friday.

Update Blog: May 9th, 2015

Hey guys, I've been doing lots of awesome stuff this past week, and it's all been totally worthwhile. School gets out on June 3rd (which I'm not looking forward to b/c I have to go to high school next year), and I'm pretty much wrapping up this school year with style xD!

So last Saturday, I got to go to Silver Dollar City and I had SO MUCH FUN!!! I went with the band, and I got to hang out with my friends in band after we performed in the Heartland Music Festival, which was the best part. I didn't get to go on any roller coasters though, which I was disappointed about. By the time we got over there, (my friends didn't want to ride on the roller coasters, so they were playing games as we went to go over there so I could ride, which was really nice of them) the lines were WAAAAAY too long. Then I found out that one of my awesome guy-friends got to ride on an awesome water ride that we wanted to go on. I was a /little/ jealous. :/ I saw the picture. Yeah.

Anywho, I had fun there anyway.

I also started working on making speedpaints again!!! So I'll probably be posting more art. No, I don't have a YouTube, sadly. So no one will ever get to see my speedpaints... Except my friends irl and me. Oh well. Anyway, here's the most recent one I've completed.

The two wolves in the middle, Demonheart (right) and Reon (left: I adopted him from a friend on Colors), have just burned the forest the Triad lived in completely to the ground. The Triad must now go find a new home, and then find a way to defeat the Ravagers and their demons. :3

Awesomeness

So on Thursday and Friday, I got to job shadow the chief meteorologist at a local news station, and let me tell you, IT WAS AMAZING! Not only was learning about the weather and everything that factors into it really fascinating, but the people who work there are AWESOME!!! On Friday, I got to meet one of the other meteorologists that worked there (there was a chance for severe weather on Friday here, but that quickly died within at least ten minutes. The other meteorologist came in because of the possibility.), and he was so awesome!! HE SAYS "BRUH" LIKE I DO AND CAN SPEAK IN A VERY HIGH-PITCHED VOICE LIKE I CAN OMG THAT WAS GREAT!!! He taught me about how mesocyclones work, and about severe weather in general, which was AWESOME!! So yeah, a lot more happened while I was there, but I'm not going all that in-depth mainly because I'm lazy and I also don't want to spill my WHOLE life into the Internet. :3

So... I did a speedpaint on Saturday night. It was the first one I've done this year and the first one where I used the new Wacom tablet we got for Christmas. It turned out AWESOME, if I say so myself XD!

This is the finished product. ^w^ I worked very hard, and I think it was totally worth it. Well, that's all for now! Silver Dollar City on Saturday with the band, life is going well.

OMG YESTERDAY WAS AWESOME

So, even though yesterday was really tiring, it was SOOOO worth it!!

I had so much fun all the way to solo and ensemble. My friends and I were having so much fun just hanging out and being there. We went off and performed our solos one by one. I went off to perform mine, and the judge said that it was amazing! She loved it so much! And at the end she told me that I need to get the rest of the guys in the trombone section to man up XD!!! And she said that she loves it when a woman is in charge (she had said I came in the song very strong and boldly). I WAS SO THRILLED OMG I STILL AM!!!!! BEST NIGHT THIS YEAR!!!

So even though we were all really exhausted afterwards, it was so worth it.

Tomorrow's Stuff! 😊

So tomorrow, I have solo and ensemble, which I am feeling REALLY confident about and I'm really quite excited about it. I'm probably one of a few people who are excited lol. I get to sit by one of my friends and I'll be surrounded by a lot of my other friends on the bus on the way there. And we're supposed to get back by at least a little before (most likely after) 10 p.m. because we're literally the last group.

So... Yeah... :3

Wow, I can't believe it's been a month since I last posted.

Well, it has certainly been a while since I was last online here. Hmm... things that have happened since then... Oh yeah.

I have solo and ensemble coming up on Friday. I'm feeling really optimistic about it, mainly because I've been practicing so much. I also submitted my auditions for high school band, and I feel really good about how I did. I also kept 1st chair as a result hehehee. >:3

Oh, and Gerard Way's birthday was on April 9th! So happy really quite late birthday to him XD!

What else...

I think that's it! Well, like I always do, here's a recent picture I drew that I'm quite proud of.

I drew this in art class today. This is Xceron, by the way. We were drawing topics out of a jar, and mine was "headache", so I drew Xceron with a headache lol. The background is all oil pastel, which was really fun to color in. The only thing was that afterwards, my fingers were cramped, which was very uncomfortable.

Stuff AGAIN.

Well, March 22nd was the 2 year anniversary of My Chemical Romance's disbandment.

*cries*

Yes, I have heard the reuniting rumors, but that doesn't mean I won't acknowledge their break-up. Besides, they're just rumors anyway. No point in filling your life with empty promises.

Moving on...

So I got the music for try-outs for high school band next year. Depending on how well I do depends on where I'm placed in the program.

Let's just say we have a FEW bands. Sheesh.

I'M GONNA FAIL SOOOO BAD OMFG IT'S NOT FUNNY.

At least I'll try really hard.
